Mold Remediation & Removal in the Treasure Valley
Mold isn’t just an aesthetic problem. It triggers allergies, irritates lungs, and — left unchecked — eats through drywall, framing, and flooring. Treasure Valley Restoration provides certified mold remediation across the Boise area: we test to find what you’re dealing with, contain it so it doesn’t spread, remove it using EPA-approved protocols, and verify the air is safe before we leave the job.

Our Water Damage Restoration Process
- / Step 1
Inspection & Testing
01
We inspect visually, use moisture meters to find the source, and
when needed collect air or surface samples for lab analysis. You can’t
fix a mold problem until you know what species you’re dealing with
and how much of it there is.
- / Step 2
Containment
02
Before any cutting or scraping, we seal off the work area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure machines. This is the single most
important step without proper containment, mold spores will spread to clean parts of your home during removal.
- / Step 3
Air Filtration
03
HEPA-filtered air scrubbers run continuously throughout the project, capturing airborne spores so they don’t recontaminate the space.
- / Step 4
Removal of Affected Materials
04
Porous materials with significant growth drywall, insulation usually have to be removed and disposed of. Non-porous surfaces can typically be cleaned. We follow IICRC S520 standards for what stays and what goes.
- Insurance
Mold coverage varies by policy. Generally:
- Often covered: mold caused by a sudden, covered event — like a burst pipe — that wasn’t dried in time.
- Often not covered: mold from long-term seepage, neglected leaks, or high indoor humidity.
- Special endorsements: some policies cap mold coverage at $5,000–$10,000 unless you’ve added a mold endorsement.
We’ll review your situation honestly and tell you whether a claim is worth filing — or whether it’s better to handle it out of pocket.
"You handle your family. We'll handle the insurance."
